In 2015, the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe was included in a co-ordinated review of four provincial land use plans. To support the Co-ordinated Review, the Government of Ontario appointed an Advisory Panel of six advisers, chaired by David Crombie, to develop recommendations on how to amend and improve the plans. The Panel completed its work and submitted its report in December 2015.
The Government of Ontario has reviewed and considered all feedback received from stakeholders, the public and Indigenous communities, as well as the Advisory Panel’s recommendations. The government is now proposing changes to the four plans, including the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
